Taylor Swift The Girl With the Curls

There is just something oh so refreshing about this girl, no? She has got that all American beauty thing just wrapped right up, and even if you hate the music, you can’t help but love the girl. As if you could hate anything by Miss Swift anyway. What is it about her? She’s that down home goodness that makes this country what it is, is what it is. And she’s gorgeous to boot. This is a look that just about any girl would die for as well, as beautiful curls like this are not easy to come by. Here she has chosen a style that is right in line with her personality and has gone All American girl in a red and white ensemble and hairstyle that pumps up the volume and gives her a seriously soft but romantic edge.

This look is sexy, vampy, and will get you everything you want on any given night on the town. The secrets here are tons of product, tons of curls, and tons of teasing. Start off with curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner, and use a lightweight curling mousse to lock in some extra curl. Run some styling pomade on your palms, and then run them through your hair from front to back. You will then set your hair in pin curls all over your head. Use a blowdryer on low with a diffuser to dry your locks to 100% dry. This may take some time, but the end result will be well worth it. When your curls are dry, spritz some extra hold hairspray on your curls before you take out the pins. The result will be a voluminous head of wavy bouncy curls. You can brush these out to smooth them out, or tease them whichever way you want for a hairstyle that is voluminous, sexy, and vampy for any night on the town. The key to achieving these spirals is to finger play with them until you are happy with them. Taylor likes hers smooth and soft, but you can be as big and bold as you like. Once you get the curls, embrace them, don’t fight ‘em!

Embody the Grace and Elegance That Is Anne Hathaway

Here is a woman whose beauty is just so ethereal and natural, you can’t help but love her. And anyone that knows anything about Anne Hathaway knows that she has the personality and the charm to pair with her gracious elegance. After her fiancé was carted two years ago by the FBI on numerous embezzlement charges, the Anne we saw smiled her way through it. And here she is looking stunning as ever and giving us even more reasons to love her as she arrives for a screening of her new film “Love and Other Drugs” at the Director’s Guild Theater in New York City this week. And it seems that no matter what she is wearing, contemporary or classic, this is a girl that looks stunning with an Old Hollywood glamour beauty that is a fail safe with her. Simply gorgeous.

This hairstyle is not as quick as some others, but you can get this voluminous hair very easily, though give yourself some extra time here. To get this look, use texturizing shampoo and conditioner, followed with volumizing mousse but on your ends only. Then you will want to blow dry with a round bristle brush. Blow dry your hair about 95%, and when it is still slightly damp, you can set the ends of your hair in large sized Velcro rollers to create this wonderful volume that Anne has here, without the look of curls. Let your rollers set for about 30 minutes, and then blast some heat on them to finish the drying and lock in that volume. When your hair has cooled from this blast, take the rollers out and brush out your hair with your soft bristle brush. The end result? A lovely voluptuous mane with just enough wave and volume to look sexy, but not too much that you are over the top.

Kate Hudson Sleeks It Back

Kate Hudson is definitely a girl that loves the glam, but you would never guess it here, but she certainly didn’t compromise the pretty with this casual look. Here Kate was spotted dashing out of her New York City home with boyfriend Matt Bellamy as they were heading out for the airport. Wearing black buckled riding boots, a furry black coat, big shades and a sleek ponytail Kate Hudson is looking anything but dressed down. With this airport look, Kate has proved that style with comfort doesn’t need to be frumpy, as she has paired some simple fashion pieces with a very chic do. This just goes to show that yes, you can get away with second day hair without drawing too much attention to yourself, and you can style yourself very easily even when on long flights and airport busyness.

To get this look, dampen your soft bristle brush as you pull this ponytail back, and let it sit nice and low on the back of your neck like Kate has here. If you have bangs, you just need to bend your bangs under ever so slightly with your flat iron or curling iron, and if you don`t, then sweep everything into your pony. This is the cute part of the sexy look, the sexy comes with the outfit you pair it with. If you pull off the right look like Kate has here and choose simple pieces that are casual, but fitted to your size and complement your figure, you can get away with the ponytail. This look will only take a few minutes, so go ahead and sleep in a little since you won’t have to worry about your hair. You can arrive on time and still look fabulous and nobody will ever be the wiser.

Bad Girl Michelle Trachtenberg Sleeks it Back

The bad girl that everybody loves to hate on Gossip Girl manages to get the glam on again. And we have to say, as much as we love to hate her, we almost can’t, because her style is just so darn pretty. Here she is going uber cas in a mustard yellow cardigan and grey scarf with a sleeked back ponytail and uber glam shades. Here Michelle is not exactly her former sexy vamp sinking her claws into the Upper East side of the city, but she is not exactly sending off the Christian Polyanna vibes any longer. What Michelle is doing with this ponytail is a great thing, as it shows that yes, even a second day hair day ponytail can look both sleek AND chic, whether you are taking it day or night.

This look is easy to accomplish, particularly since you are going to skip your shampoo and do this with second day hair. For your front section, take a fine tooth comb dipped in water, and create a razor sharp part about 2-3 inches long. Then, comb the remaining section on the back of your crown, and tease it lightly to give you a bit of height and volume at the back of your head.

Use your fine tooth comb to sleekly comb your sides to the back, gathering your back crown section together with your two sides. Secure at the nape of your neck with a clear elastic, and give the back section a spritz of extra hold hairspray. Sweep your bangs to the side in either direction of your part, however you feel most comfortable, and secure with a pin behind your ear.

Finish the look with a little spritzing of hair gloss, and you have yourself a super easy hairstyle that will look and stay great no matter WHERE you take it all day or all night. If you are still trying to figure out a way to make this look really work, add an eye popping accessory like Michelle has here with her scarf. Stunning.

Vanessa Hudgens Waves it Off

Vanessa Hudgens is seen here looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world, but you would never guess that she just split from four year long love Zac Efron. Oh well says the happy twenty something as she moves on with her life, and we love the attitude she takes with her. Though, you have to wonder how well Zac is taking this. Not that anyone would notice, Vanessa is making it very clear just how single she is, and is making sure she looks fabulous while she does so. Can you say she is hoping for a rebound beau under the tree this year? Most likely says the magic 8 ball. But if you want to look this fabulous, you can too, as this long and loose look is today’s most gorgeous trend. It’s everywhere right now.

To get this look, you need a long layered cut that you can work some volume into. Start off by scrunching some pomade or volumizing mousse into damp hair. Blow dry with a round bristle brush, or you can wind sections around your hair if you prefer. This winding effect will make your waves a little more swingy than usual. You can use a curling iron to set stronger waves once you have done this, but instead of clamping the iron onto your hair, wind the hair section around the barrel of the curling iron. This way the ends won’t curl as tight, and they will stick out just enough to give you this pretty tousled look. After you have finished curling, shake your hair out and finger comb it as you go through the day, and though you may not have her boyfriend woes, you will have her look of long luscious waves lasting all day, and into the night.
